Do I have to choose just one?

I guess I could say chocolate licorice...

allsorts

I had a hard time choosing between licorice and chocolate. If I had to give one up forever, it would have to be chocolate because I can always get my fix from a nice pan of brownies, but there isn't anything that could take the place of lovely licorice. I love it! Black, red, allsorts - it is all divine :)

AESthete

I just found a new one (new to me, not to the rest of the world) - aesthete. I like it because I AM one (so humble!) and because it starts with my initials (so narcissistic!).

Who wouldn't like to be...

Optomistic Hypnotherapy

Life is a bowl of cherries.

I love cherries. I love life (most days). I love how this cliché makes me feel better :)

Kinda Weird...

I don't know if it was THE weirdest, but I had teriyaki eel last Friday...

The flesh was delicious, but the skin was too fatty. I spent a lot of time trying to peel the stuff :)

What is the weirdest food you've ever eaten?

A free trip to the moon?

YES...duh!

I would love to get up in space to see the stars without streetlights to dim their glory!

If you were offered a free trip to the moon, would you go? Why or why not?

I'd change my largest organ.

I'd love to have perfect skin! (instead of spots and scars)

Let's look up some alternative words in the dictionary if you can't think of them on your own.

Con.

Profanity is just laziness. Why don't people learn either how to control their reactions or at least learn some new, more creative vocabulary? We've all met the person who only knows one adjective for everything - how boring.

Besides lazy, being profane is selfish. Many people are not bothered by profanity, but some are. Why not be kind and keep it clean in consideration of your fellow human beings, especially the little, innocent ones?

Swear words: Are you pro or con?

I still don't know...

Being with my family is most important to me, but since I am a homemaker, that is both where I live AND what I do, so the question is still unanswered :)

What’s more important, where you live or what you do for a living?

My Super Budgie

Budgie
I'd like a budgie, really, but would love to have one that was a loyal as a dog and litter trained like a cat :)

Create a super-pet by combining any three animals.

Stan's arms...

...always feel like home.

Where ever I am, if I am with my darling, I'm at home.

Yes to the Death Penalty

For certain, horrific crimes, I think it is the only way that the full value of the victim's life can be recognized by society. For me, the death penalty is an expression of all that was lost by the victim and their family.

When a criminal dies for his or her crime, it is not to make up for it, because the victim's life can never be restored, but a recognition of the severity of what they have done. For some crimes, even life in prison is a mere slap on the wrist.

Ironically, I believe the death penalty says to all of society that we value life. We value it to the degree that those who viciously, selfishly take lives should not be allowed to keep their own. They have violated the sanctity of life to such a degree that they do not deserve to have a part in it anymore.

Funny babies always make me smile!

Babies are just so cute, add a funny expression and I can't help but get a little bit happier...

Share a picture of something that makes you smile.

Hummingbirds fascinate me.

They are like jewel encrusted helicopters!

Hummingbird 2

I love to watch hummingbirds. In the backyard, on the screen, at the zoo, in the park, wherever I can.

What animal's nature special would you gladly spend an hour watching?

Rabid Shrews Without Cannons

Victoria and Gerald went for a hike. They were attacked by rabid shrews! They were fortunate in that they both had combat boots on, therefore the shrews were unable to bite Vicky and Gerry. The boots were too high and the shrews were too short. We are brimming with gratitude that shrews do not shoot each other out of cannons!

Write a (very) short story without using the letter 'L.'

I like whipped cream on cake, pie, brownies, hot chocolate, ice cream, cobbler, gingerbread, pudding, souffles, etc., etc.!

Whipped cream tastes like heaven. Cool Whip tastes like a toxic emergency. I really can't stand it...UNLESS you mix it with cottage cheese, mandarin oranges and orange jello powder. Then I can eat cool whip by the truckload. Does that make any sense at all?!?

Which whipped topping do you prefer: Cool Whip or real whipped cream?

Bratwurst reminds me of Stan!

Bratwurst mit erdäpfelgröstl und sauerkraut

Bratwurst reminds me of Stan because he took me to a German deli and that is what we ate on the day we got engaged :)

Name a food that reminds you of someone.

I loved to catch to frogs...

Catch a Frog
OK, not really a game, but an activity. We lived in New Hampshire in the woods, on a hill, with a stream at the bottom. I loved to catch and release and catch again :)

What childhood games do you remember fondly?

Hugs and kisses are good, too!

What's your preferred method of staying warm during the winter?

My most AND least favorite subject was MATH!

At the beginning of high school, I loved math enough to join the Math Team, but when I started Geometry, I hated it (all those boring proofs!).

I fell in love again when I got to Calculus because I was good at it, but it was still a challenge. I think when I got a perfect score on a test, I'd smile for hours, because it felt like such an accomplishment!
