Last week's topic was birthdays. I had a birthday this past week. I turned forty. I thought it was kind of funny because a few people called to wish me a SAD birthday. Not literally. They actually said"Happy Birthday", but then, in a commiserating tone of voice, asked me how I was doing and...if I was okay.
I don't mind turning forty. I think it is kind of cool - the turn of a decade and everything. It does provide for some reflection.
One of the the people I have been reflecting on is Jennifer Aniston.
She turned forty the same week that I did.
I am infinitely more happy to be myself than I would be to be her and I am fairly certain that she wouldn't want to trade places with me, but what about everyone else?
I wonder if you gave women around the planet a chance to choose between her life and mine which they would pick?
Just in case anyone is waffling, here is a run down* of the two choices.
*Disclaimer - most of these (on the JA side) are just wild guesses. The last thing I have time to do is troll the internet gossip world to find alleged facts.
me - seven kids
JA - seven bagillion dollars
me - a four bedroom house
JA - four houses
me - a pile of laundry
JA - a team of stylists
me - a secondhand rodent
JA - purebred dogs
me - a housekeeping list
JA - a housekeeper
me - a gorgeous husband
JA - ?

I didn't know it was your birthday, Happy birthday! I'd rather have 7 kids than 7 gazillion dollars.... the latter would be nice, too, though lol.
